A message from Ipswich Community Radio’s Station Manager:

“Before we get into 2015 I just wanted to take a minute to say my thank you’s.

Firstly I’d like to thank our presenters and DJ’s. Your continued dedication to your craft is, simply put the lifeblood of ICR, without you there would be nothing. I’d also like to thank the presenters and DJs that have departed ICR this year. The voices of people like Martin Burley and DJ Drew will be sorely missed on our airwaves in 2015 and beyond.

Secondly, I would like to say a huge thank you to the engine that drives Ipswich Community Radio, the members of ICR’s office staff for their tireless work and support that allows us all to continue to enjoy ICR’s output 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They really are the unsung heroes of Ipswich Community Radio so let’s all take a minute to say thank you.

Last but by no means least my biggest thank you goes out to all of our listeners across the globe for their dedication to and support of Ipswich Community Radio throughout 2014. In my humble opinion this has been our best year yet. From events like Pride Live and the UCS Fresher’s Fair to our massive 25th Anniversary celebrations to the dozens and dozens of people who have come through our training course I genuinely feel ICR made its mark on 2014 and simply put, it’s because of you. I only hope that you’ll continue that support and dedication into 2015 and help make that our best year yet.”

Thank you all and Happy New Year.

SKY-LINE in the Studio
On the next episode of Eastern Vibes, Ruman will be graced by the presence of urban producer SKY-LINE.

SKY-LINE's new Album

SKY-LINE from East London is a music teacher; he also volunteers his music teaching skills at a hospice in London. He is classically trained on the Piano and the Tabla.

SKY-LINE has just released his debut album called LOVE OF MUSIC. It’s very different from Bollywood, Bhangra or strict Indian classical and he will be chatting about it to Ruman, who will also play a few tracks from the album.

He will also play the piano live in the studio and additionally will demonstrate a master class in the mesmerising sound of the Tabla.

Do not miss the show! Eastern Vibes is aired every Thursday, 10PM-12AM GMT on ICR, and of course previous show’s can be found on our Mixcloud account.
